Introduction

Did you know your vocabulary is the single best mark of your intelligence? Did you know that self-educated business moguls, entertainment legends, and fast-track entrepreneurs cite reading as one of their primary ingredients for success? Do you believe there is a connection between reading and making money?

According to the U.S. Department of Education, a college graduate will earn $2.1 million dollars in his lifetime. A high school graduate will earn only $1.2 million. Reading, one of the cornerstones of an education, is directly attributable to the extra million the college grad gained. Additionally, Dr. Abbie F. Salny, author of The Mensa Think-Smart Book says, “Psychologists have established a positive correlation between a large vocabulary and both high intelligence and success . . . “

So, this course will focus on the various aspects of reading based on the works of four diverse leaders in their respective fields. The breakdown is as follows:

I. Introduction

II. Meet the Experts

III. What's In It For Me?

IV. Debunking Myths
