General
Statement: The Colorado Community Health Network (CCHN) is a
membership
association of Community Health Centers serving low-income,
homeless, and
migrant populations in Colorado. CCHN is a dynamic,
team-orientated non-profit that provides support and
technical assistance to
safety-net clinics in underserved communities. The
Special Projects
Assistant must be self-motivated and able to manage multiple
tasks, able to
work with diverse people, carry a heavy workload and travel.
The Special
Projects Assistant is responsible for supporting the CCHN Policy
Director
and the CCHN Health Center Operations Directors. Responsibilities
include,
but are not limited to, the support,
coordination and implementation of
various programs in the Health Center
Operations Division and Policy
Division, including:
General Duties:
1. Provides direct
administrative support to the CCHN Policy Director (PD)
and CCHN Health
Center Operations Director (HCOD).
2. Assists in the execution of projects
managed by members of the
HCOD .
3.
Coordinates collection and entry of data for special projects, which
may
include: Statewide Strategic Planning, Uniform Data System, Economic
Impact
Analysis, Medicaid Cost Reports, Colorado Indigent Care Program
analyses,
and the Salary, Benefits and Turnover
Survey.
4. Provides support for a variety of Public Affairs activities as
directed
by the Policy Division Director, including maintenance of
spreadsheets,
databases, and completion of related
reports.
5. Schedules and plans events, conference calls, meetings and
training
sessions, including all aspects of coordination, planning,
material
preparation and photocopying, registration and follow-up.
6.
Takes and prepares minutes for committee meetings and conference calls
as
needed and assures they are edited and distributed in a timely
manner.
7. Drafts and sends mail or email communications at the discretion of
PD
and/or HCOD.
8. Coordinates travel arrangements, registrations and
other off-site
arrangements for the Health Center Operations and Policy
Divisions as
directed.
9. Maintains CCHN website, including sections
related to
Operations and
Policy Divisions.
10. Operates various computer programs including: Outlook,
Excel, Word,
Access, Homesite and CuteFTP.
11.
Provides telephone and system back-ups, mail duties, and
fax
distribution.
12. Responds professionally to requests for information
from the public and
association members.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelors degree or Associates degree.
2. At least
3 years experience working in an office environment.
3. Ability to work with
minimal supervision and maximum accountability.
4. Ability to manage and
prioritize multiple tasks.
5. Pleasant manner in telephone and personal
contacts and a professional
demeanor.
6. Strong computer skills,
particularly in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel,
Access, Outlook, and the Internet. Website management
experience preferred.
7. Demonstrated awareness of, and value for, cultural
competence.
8. Demonstrated ability to work with customer/client groups and
/or
experience in membership organizations.
9. Ability to work as a team
member and work effectively with diverse
people.
10. Use and basic
maintenance and repair of various types of office
equipment.
11. Fluency
in written and spoken English.
12. Ability to travel.
13. Physical ability
to stoop, kneel, bend, use a computer and perform
light
lifting.
