Job Description:
The Associate Legal Director will primarily be responsible for assisting the
Legal Director in the administration of the statewide legal program,
including supervision of legal staff and the development of ACLU cases. He
or she will be involved in direct litigation as well as working with
cooperating attorneys and ACLU staff attorneys throughout the State and will
be called upon to assist in any of the day to day issues handled by the
ACLU. While the Associate Legal Director will work closely with the Legal
Director, he or she will have a great deal of autonomy and will be expected
to work independently. The Associate Legal Director will also be expected to
have or develop expertise in
reproductive freedom issues and direct the litigation of the ACLU of
Floridas Reproductive Freedom Project.
