Job Title: Campaign Manager
Organization: American Health Information Management Association
Location: Chicago, IL
Salary:
FT Regular

Job Description:
As America addresses its health care needs, many critical decisions hinge
upon health information management (HIM). To help meet a public mandate for
quality, privacy and efficiency in care, Americas HIM professionals face
the formidable challenge of leading the national health care system from
paper-based recordkeeping to new electronic health information management
systems.

To lead the way in this evolution of care, HIM professionals at all levels
will need the full support of a strong professional association, an
up-to-date and practice-oriented educational system and a vibrant research
community. The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)
and its affiliated Foundation of Research and Education (FORE) have the
credibility and the capacity to provide this crucial support through a
variety of professional, educational and research programs.

In order to help HIM professionals lead the way in transforming health care
through information management, FORE has designed a campaign to develop its
programs in three key areas: fostering health information management
research; investing in health information management leadership; and
promoting health information management policy and outreach.

Reporting to the Executive Director of the Foundation, the Campaign Manager
will be responsible for working in coordination with the staff and
volunteers of FORE and AHIMA to manage the daily operations of its upcoming
capital campaign. The Campaign Manager will play an integral role in the
strategy development and execution of major gifts cultivation and
solicitation. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of five years
of fundraising experience, preferably with a major capital campaign; the
ability to work with sophisticated volunteer leaders; and strong leadership
abilities. The Campaign Manager will have the opportunity to grow within
the Foundation based on successful performance.

AHIMA is proud to be an equal employment opportunity employer. We encourage
and support diversity in our workforce.
