Intake Coordinator
Seedco Financial Services, Inc. (Seedco Financial) is a national, nonprofit
community development financial institution (CDFI) with $190 million in
assets under management. Working with local partners, Seedco Financial
provides affordable financing and technical assistance to small businesses,
nonprofit organizations, and anchor commercial projects in low-income and
economically distressed communities. Its financing programs are designed to
fill critical capital and capacity gaps within local markets. Seedco
Financial is a subsidiary of Seedco, a national community development
intermediary that creates opportunities for low- wage workers and their
families in economically distressed areas.
 
Seedco Financial is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated intake coordinator
for our Southeast Louisiana Fisheries Assistance Center office in Belle
Chasse, LA. The Center is a one-stop location for information and services
benefiting commercial fishermen. The intake coordinator will be the first
point of interaction for fishermen visiting the center, and will act as a
liaison between commercial fishermen and Seedco Financials technical and
financial assistance partners. The intake coordinator will also manage all
administrative functions of the center, and will report to senior staff in
the New Orleans office.
Responsibilities include:
Screening commercial fishermen for small business or other needs;
Meeting with senior staff and partners to maintain awareness of available
services;
Maintaining files and spreadsheets;
Developing periodic reports;
Opening and closing Center on a daily basis.
Providing support as necessary to the New Orleans office
 
Skills/qualifications/experience:
Bachelors degree or relevant education and experience
Ability to use Microsoft Office
Case management, experience with commercial fishermen, and/or Vietnamese
language skills preferred.
 
Compensation:
Mid $20s, commensurate with experience Full benefits package, an EEO
