Job Description:
People & Systems is assisting a Maryland multi-service community agency with
their search for a Director of Aging Services.
 
OPPORTUNITY:
 
This position is an exciting opportunity for a programmatic/administrative
generalist to manage and lead a direct human services operation. You will
have the chance to build relationships with, supervise, mentor and coach a
staff and drive overall operational performance through the analysis of data

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
As the Director, you will oversee the operations of existing programs and
services to seniors including case management, counseling, volunteer
services, Meals-on-Wheels, and financial assistance. You will establish
operational priorities, staff goals/objectives, standards of practice,
policies, procedures and protocols as well as participating in quality
improvement activities. As a shepherd of growth and evolution, you will
identify/develop opportunities for new program offerings and the expansion
of existing programs/services and funding sources. As the primary voice for
these much needed services, you will engage in liaison between the programs
and the community maintaining relationships with representatives of funding
bodies, civic organizations, trade associations, advocacy and consumer
groups
.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
The position requires Masters Degree in Business, Public Health, Public
Administration or related field and 5+ years of management, administration
and supervision experience in a nonprofit or similar setting (knowledge of
senior services, aging issues and proven expertise in serving the elderly is
highly desirable). A dynamic individual with proven leadership, management
and program development experience coupled with strategic thinking, business
savvy and exemplary communications skills is a must.
