Description:
Grassroots Campaigns, Inc. is currently hiring a finance staffer
to help
drive our ongoing campaigns to put a Democrat in the White House in
2008 and
build the progressive movement. Grassroots Campaigns is an
independent
political consulting firm that specializes in running field
operations and
fundraising for progressive candidates, causes, and
organizations. Current
and past clients include: the Democratic National
Committee, the American
Civil Liberties Union, MoveOn PAC, Working America, Amnesty International
and
Environmental Action.
We are
looking for a staff member to work in our Boston Headquarters,
measuring and analyzing our canvassing and fundraising
activities on behalf
of the DNC, ACLU, and other organizations. This position
also includes
other administrative responsibilities. We are looking for the
following
qualifications:
*Strong basic mathematical ability and
analytical skills.
*Solid familiarity with Excel.
*Statistics experience
NOT required.
*The passion and toughness to work for progressive social
change. We
need to elect a Democrat to the White House. We are building a
national
campaign for that purpose. We are looking for someone who is
interested in
working on a team invested in these goals.
*The desire and
capability to work hard. We are up against millions
of dollars from the far
right and corporate
than them if we can even think of winning. We not only have to be good
at
what we do but we need to be willing to spend long hours doing this work.
We
cant afford not to.
Salary & Benefits:
$24,000 per year commensurate with experience;
Healthcare is available.
