Job Description:
Organizational Overview:
In todays results focused environment schools are clamoring for real-time
data. Nowhere is this more apparent than in urban middle schools working to
close the achievement gap. These schools desperately need real-time data to
immediately understand students strengths and weaknesses and fill in any
missing gaps before students fall further and further behind. Massachusetts
Public School Performance (MPSP) was founded in January 2005 to meet this
targeted need. The mission of MPSP is to build the capacity of school
leaders to understand and effectively use real-time data to improve
instruction and increase student achievement.
To accomplish this mission, MPSP designs, administers and scores formative
assessments that provide administrators and teachers with student
performance data throughout the year. MPSP also coaches school leaders and
teachers to apply their findings to instantly impact classroom instruction
and to effect programmatic changes over time. MPSP works with like-minded
schools who believe in the power of formative assessment and real-time data
to improve teaching and learning. Through close, long-term collaboration, we
ensure a shared commitment where both the school and our organization feel
ownership over increasing student achievement and improving school
