Job Description:
Grassroots Campaigns is running canvass and field campaigns to Take Back the
White House and maintain our majorities in Congress. This November's
elections are critical to turning this country around and repairing the
damage done by 8 years of the Bush administration. We are currently hiring
Staff Recruiters to be based out of our Boston National Recruitment
Department to help us open campaign offices nationwide.
 
Job Responsibilities:
 
Be part of a recruitment team dedicated to hiring staff to run at least 30
campaign offices as well as a get out the vote operation staffed with a few
hundred field organizers.
 
*Target graduating seniors on college campuses.
 
*Place ads and conduct phone interviews - Help develop an advertisement
strategy to identify activists across the country, screen candidates and
conduct phone interviews.
 
*Communicate with candidates - Recruiters communicate with candidates to
keep them posted on their status in the interview process. The recruiters
will also be responsible for courting the incoming staff over the summer
months.
 
*Screen potential applicants for qualifications - facilitate and participate
in the interview process both centrally and across the country.
 
Qualifications:
 
We need motivated, hard-working people who are dedicated to seeing
progressive change in America. Excellent written and verbal communication
skills required. Must be able to learn quickly in a fast-paced, team
environment. Must also be goal-oriented, have strong problem solving
skills, and be able to think analytically.
 
Hours:
 
60-80 hours/week
