Job Description:
Enjoy the beauty of southern Oregon and work to create hands-on and service
learning programs for children. Alder Creek Children's Forest serves two of
Oregon's greatest treasures: our youth and our natural resources. We offer
a place, partnerships, and programs designed for young citizens to learn to
work together to create healthy, sustainable forests, watersheds, and
communities.
 
VISTA member will help with partnership development, outreach, fundraising,
and grant writing with the long term goal of building capacity of ACCF to
provide a suite of educational, service-learning, and leadership and
technical training resources for youth development in south Douglas County.
 
AmeriCorps*VISTA members receive a living stipend, health benefits, a
relocation allowance, paid vacation and sick leave, and may qualify for
childcare assistance. After completing a year of service, VISTAs also
receive either a $4725 education award or a $1200 cash stipend.
