The Center for Literacy is a non-profit agency dedicated to providing a
range of literacy services, including reading, writing, math, life and work
skills, to help a diverse population of learners meet their needs and
achieve their personal and employment-related goals. For more information

The Center for Literacy is currently seeking to fill its Full Time Program
Manager of Youth Initiatives position.
Responsibilities: In addition to serving the adult population, the Center
for Literacy is committed to providing quality educational services to both
in-school and out-of-school youth. As we strive to offer these services to
in-school and out-of-school youth, we continue to improve and expand our
service delivery model. Moving forward, we are seeking a highly qualified
individual to serve in the role of Program Manager who is able to
demonstrate the same level of commitment in fulfilling the following
responsibilities:
-Assist in the reporting, development and grant writing process for
contracts.
-Oversee and ensure successful fulfillment of grant outcomes.
-Maintenance of Data: collect and verify timesheets of youth teachers,
monitor CFL data and complete monthly data reports for all youth programs.
-Participate in partner meetings to provide and receive updates and problem
on issues related to direct service provision and program outcomes.
-Attend all CFL staff meetings.
-Participate in provider collaboratives (Alternative
Education Providers
Collaborative and GED Roundtable).
-Schedule and facilitate youth team meetings monthly.
-Train, mentor and support instructional staff.
-Participate in the HR processes of hiring, monitoring
probation/orientation, and corrective action.
-Participate in professional development activities that will serve to
advance program outcomes.
-Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-BA in education or related field; Masters degree preferred
-PA State Reading Specialist certification required
-Experience serving at-risk youth required
-Demonstrated commitment to youth education

-Experience in some or all of the following: teaching, tutoring, program
management/supervisory experience, and curriculum development
