Do you want to make a difference, influence change,
educate and organize to
protect our environment, and gain experience working
on the 2008 elections?
We
are currently seeking activists to organize our members throughout
public
health and our environment!
For 35 years Clean Water Action has
been at the forefront of promoting clean
water, protecting health, creating
jobs, and making democracy work. Our more
than 1.2 million members,
volunteers and seasoned professional staff have
built one of the nation's
largest, most effective environmental
organizations. Clean Water Action's
grassroots muscle has been critical in
shaping and strengthening laws such as
the Clean Water Act, the Safe
Drinking Water Act and the Superfund for toxics
cleanup.
Responsibilities
include educating citizens about environmental issues,
organizing and motivating communities to take action
again polluters,
identifying and encouraging voters to head to the polls,
fundraising, and
changing the world we live in.
$11/hour guaranteed, with potential
for bonus.
Evening Hours: 5:30pm to 9:30pm, M-F. 3 to
5 nights per week, additional
hours possible.
Partial benefits
available after 90 days averaging 21 hours or more per
week.
