Weve got the job for you!
The Fund for Public Interest Research is currently hiring Grassroots Field

We are working across the country to raise awareness, state by state, about
crucial issues in the U.S. like global warming, health care, energy and
human rights. Strikingly, these issues are now rising to the fore, in this
election year, in ways they never have before.
If we can make the case that these issues are the most important issues for
voters, we will create an opportunity for more action from the federal
government than ever before. The margins in Congress are small if we can
convince just a few Senators that their constituents really are concerned
about these issues, we can make a difference.
After the election, were going to need to keep the pressure on to make
sure
the nation really does make the best choices on the issues weve raised.
Were looking for qualified people to come in as Grassroots Field
Coordinators to focus on making the campaign go.
As a Grassroots Field Coordinator, youll work with environmental and
progressive groups like the Sierra Club, Environment America, the Human
Rights Campaign and Progressive Future.
Your responsibilities include:
Mobilizing volunteers IDed through the canvass.
Taking charge of additional campaign field work including petition
and letter-writing drives, coalition-building, news conferences and
grassroots lobbying.
Canvassing 3-4 days/week to train staff, raise money, identify and
activate members, educate the public on the issues, and identify and
activate volunteers.
Assisting the directors in recruiting, training and managing a staff
of 10-40 canvassers.
Are you willing to move?
