Job Description:
Texas Watch, the statewide consumer advocacy and research organization
working to improve consumer and insurance protections for Texas families, is
offering summer semester unpaid internships.
 
This is a good opportunity for college students looking to gain hands-on
experience in Texas politics, be involved in grassroots activism, and learn
new research skills. Interns will work alongside our Grassroots Director to
mobilize activists to take action during the legislative session. The
legislative session is a very important and exciting time to be involved in
the legislative process.
 
We are looking for self-motivated and eager individuals with the ability to
work independently and in a group setting. General office duties may include
legislative distributions, communication with activists, assisting with our
activist and media database, and other projects as needed. Must be a
self-starter, experienced in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and
have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
