Job Description:
WETA, Washington, D.C.'s PBS station, is seeking a dedicated Sales Associate
with a strong desire to sell. Primary responsibility is to secure corporate
underwriting for TV 26 and FM 90.9 programs by aggressively developing
corporate client base, package solicitations, making calls, and selling
underwriting spots. Position includes conducting information meetings,
writing proposals and making targeted presentations to advertising and
public relations agencies and local businesses including associations, law
firms and others.
 
Seeking candidates with a Bachelors degree and at least one year of media
experience, preferably in broadcasting. Must have excellent presentation,
writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills, as well as the proven
ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of Nielsen
and agency/media terminology and procedures desirable. Salary is
commensurate with experience (salary + commission structure).
