Job Description:
Greenpeace is searching for an activist for its IT department. We're
looking someone who is technically inclined and wants to work for the
world's most influential environmental activist organization.
 
This is a junior-level position based in the USA headquarters office in
Washington, DC. Basic knowledge of the Windows operating system is
required; more important is a desire and willingness to learn. You will
learn our systems so you can support, train, and motivate our users. We need
someone that can understand our IT systems so they can help other staff use
them to be effective in their jobs.
 
Duties include help desk-type support, user training, equipment installation
& maintenance, and software installation and upgrades. This is an essential
role in our IT infrastructure team, which only has five members.
 
We're looking for someone that:
* has an approachable, open attitude with a desire to help others solve
problems;
* has excellent verbal and written skills;
* is able to prioritize and manage many tasks in and organized and logical
manner;
* has troubleshooting skills and is creative at finding solutions;
* is interested in environmental issues.
