The Organization
Founded in 1984, Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin is a private,
nonprofit organization distributing food to more than 410 charitable
programs that feed those affected by hunger in 16 southern Wisconsin
counties. Through food and fund donations from corporations, organizations,
businesses,
foundations and individuals, the Foodbank is able to distribute food to
qualified charitable shelters, food pantries and meal sites.

The Opportunity
Second Harvest Food Bank of Southern Wisconsin is seeking a President to
provide the overall
management and leadership for the organization. Responsibilities include:
staff, volunteer and operational management; strategic planning; leadership
and active participation in raising and leveraging funds;development and
management of the annual operating budget; and sound financial management
and effective utilization of available resources.
 
The Qualifications
The successful candidate must have: significant experience in a leadership
position; a palpable excitement and passion for the mission of Second
Harvest Foodbank; financial and operational acumen; direct experience with
budget and P&L responsibilities; proven skills developing and implementing
strategy and business plans; wellrounded experience in partnership
development, marketing and fundraising; experience working with a Board of
Directors or other governing body; and strong public relations skills
coupled with the ability to work with diverse groups and perspectives. A
Bachelors degree in business, public administration, planning or related
field is
required.
